The Rotavapor® R II
Evaporation by using a rotary evaporator is the most common used method to separate a solvent. Every student or trainee in chemistry will sooner or later learn how to operate a rotary evaporator. The Rotavapor® R II focuses on the basic requirements of classical laboratory applications in education and research alike
  1. Features
  2. Specification
  • Rotavapor® R II - reduced to the basics without compromise in quality and safety: simple operation, durable and reliable for standard applications in education and research
  • A continuous vapour duct prevents cross-contamination and is particularly easy to dismantle and clean. The vacuum seal comprises a PTFE composite material and provides long service life and effective sealing
  • Flask can be easily lowered into, or out of the bath with a single hand movement, ensuring fast and reliable operation
  • The heating bath has a temperature range from 20-95°C. Heating and reaching the set temperature is indicated by an LED. Its small volume ensures that warm-up times are very quick. Thanks to the wireless power supply, it is not necessary to make or break connections when handling the bath. The high alloy steel pan is easy to clean
  • If required, all glass parts (except the evaporating flask) can be supplied with a special plastic coating. The P+G coating protects against mechanical damage and provides efficient protection against glass splinters in the unlikely event of a breakage
  • The proven Combi-clip elegantly solves the problem of simple flask removal and the taking out of the vapour duct. Normal ground-glass joints often seize when used with a vacuum. A considerable amount of force must then be used to take these connections apart, all too often causing broken glass and personal injuries. One turn of the Combi-Clip forces the evaporation flask away from the vapor duct, thereby releasing it. Turning it in the other direction, releases the vapor duct tube from the rotor, even if it was seized in. The metal bracket holds the evaporation flask firmly in place
  • Dimensions (L x H x D): 550 x 575 x 415 mm
  • Weight: 16–18 kg (depending on glass assembly)
  • Operating voltage: 100–240 V
  • Frequency: 50/60 Hz
  • Power consumption: 60 W
  • IP class: 21
  • Rotation speed: 20 - 280 rpm
